A bit of a long shot but does anybody have a windows xp laptop that they are not using that I could buy.
I have a couple of win98 laptops (with serial port) if they might help.
cost would be cover postage and maybe a beer.
that would be fine do they have usb ports?
Let me know howmuch the postage will be and where you want the money sent to and I'll get it to you.
By the way I live in Aviemore PH22 1UL check the postage as it can be pricey for the Highlands,

I so miss XP
The current Windows totally sucks, designed by total idiots. If there was a button on the keyboard that sent a painful electric shock direct to the
programmers it would be worn down to a stub

I still use a win98 box to talk to my Dunnell ECU - it could be worse - I used to have a customer that bought old PCs of EBAY as there were stuck
using XP due to some old business software,...
not ideal
my current m/c doesn't even have any ports except USB-C is this progress??
I might have a couple of old ones in the attic somewhere that I think are XP (I'll need to check, some might be win7) defiantly have USB though
and could easily run XP (or 98, 2000, win7 etc..)
no idea what the specs are - they are the wifes / in-laws old ones - pretty basic cheap ones nothing fancy
- also happy for you to collect one if your down near Edinburgh anytime soonish
(I imagine the postage will be more than these are worth)
