nick205 - 19/9/24 at 02:29 PM

Planning a few days away.
Won't have mains power access to re-charge my phone.
Will use my phone a fair amount for keeping in contact/photos/radio etc.

Can anyone recommend a good USB power bank please?
Charge phone and power bank before leaving home.
Recharge my phone 3-4 times while way.
Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21 (USB C)

Thanks people

I'd recommend Anker or Ugreen, but be wary the Samsungs are thirsty devices so a decent supply is needed. We've got old Anker power banks that will charge my phone no problem, but won't even keep my wife's samsung alive let alone charge it.

Thanks both - will look devices / brands.

My Samsung is indeed fairly thirsty. Something you get used to when you have one. I've been a Samsung user for a few years/phones now.

We have an A71 and A53 didn't have any problems.

We've had an Anker 22000 or 24000mah which apart from being heavy does the job.

I have the Belkin 20000mAh, bought from Adsa, I think it was about £30, it's good and lasts ages, think it was mid range.

Damn handy things too, I got mine solely for driving up the old car up from Wales when I bought it so as to use my phone gps. I'm sure it had used just 1 of four lights after 3 days of driving . It's been used loads since then and is often just thrown in the rucksack when we go out. Having two charging slots is a must imo lets the kids play on their tablets when out.

Look for one that supports Quick Charge. Have a few Anker chargers around here - and a genuine Samsung one that also supports wireless charging.
