My theory is that its because they take loads of looking after and no matter how many good things you do they always need more. That and the fact that
they are fun to ride/drive!
Expensive to run, break down occasionally, sometimes moody and temperamental but great fun when everything is going well.

Hellfire - 30/6/06 at 03:23 PMI usually find 'a good service' works wonders.... it has been known for me to keep checking the oil, but keeping the nipples well oiled has never been a problem... always keep an eye on the general pressures as ignoring it will often result in blowing a gasket and you don't want that.
Parking properly is always a bonus, parking in the back passage is never likely to earn you garage points...

robertst - 30/6/06 at 11:21 PMcontrast: you dont always have to obey them! rather than real swimbos, all a car needs is a kick or a punch and they sometimes work again
