Zetec Head gasket

It's looking like the head gasket may have gone on my 1.8 Silvertop Zetec. I have ordered a kit to sniff out the exhaust gases from the water to help diagnose the problem, but I am preparing for the worst. Are the head bolts reuseable on this or do I need new bolts?
Also what torque should they be done too and the sequence please.

I have looked in a Haynes manual for an Escort with a Zetec silvertop engine and found the following

The bolts are single use stretch ones

The tightening sequence is: stage one tighten to 25 Nm
stage two tighten to 45 Nm
stage three angle tighten a further 105 degrees

There is a clear diagram of the tightening sequence which is easy to see but more difficult to describe but here goes

Begin with both of the bolts at the centre of the head
Next do one to the left of the centre bolts
Then move the bolt diagonally opposite the centre bolt position
Next do the bolt adjacent to the centre bolts
Then do the bolt diagonally opposite the centre bolts.
That covers 6 of the 10 inner bolts

Next do one of the outer bolts
Then move to the bolt on the diagonally opposite side of the head
Next do the bolt on the opposite side of the head.
Finally move diagonally across the the far side for the last bolt.

I hope you can follow this

I have come up with with a clearer description of the tightening sequence.

Working from left to right make a line of bolt positions numbered 9 3 1 5 7

Below the first line of bolts do a second line from left to right numbered 8 6 2 4 10

This is viewed with the cam pulleys being on the right of the head

The text jumped during the posting operation

The two rows of numbers should be directly opposite each other
