Stayed at Roundhill 3 or 4 times - nice spot. Don't think the shop sells booze or cigs - sorry Bob!
Brockenhurst is only 5 mins down the road though.

fozzie, maybe you could get a small electric fence to put round the perimeter of your car to protect it from the ponies (and maybe the drunks!!!!!)
beware, I've got yellow skin

I was going to suggest Holland wood as there's a
pub within walking distance.
The problem now is they only take bookings for longer than 4 days in advance. So we'd be chancing it on the required dates.

Will be away for the big camp over, but just to say, we used to stay at roundhill all the time when i was younger. Really nice campsite, absolutely
massive, if you pick a spot in the middle you shouldnt have much problem with the ponys, they seem to hang around the edges.

We can draw up a hit list from http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk

Hi all, you can book in advance at Hollands Wood but it has to be a minimum of a 3 night stay. We have stayed there a few times and pre booked on the
internet.
hope all works out
Regards Trev.

Thinking about it, Ocknell is not that popular, as it's a bit out of the way, so my be ideal. We used it las year when we went 'on
spec'. It was the only one around that could fit us in.

OK folks I'm back,( been to see the folks)
As the Redshot can't fit us in and the commission site don't do booking below 3 days is everone happy to try and wing it on the weekend
mentioned, (also allows us to cancel if the weathers cr*p)
I'd rather go to longbeech as it's got loos
Does anyone have anymore suggestions before I draw up a list of site for us to try on the weekend itself?

Wing it.
Thats fine with me Dan, good idea re weather.
Maybe we can knock up a short list of sites that close to each other nearer the time, i'll still come down on the friday (weather permiting)
which may help us out getting in somewhere before the saturday nighters arive.
