Handbrake lever wiring - do I need it for MSVA?

I've suddenly realised that the handbrake lever in my single seater build is nowhere near any wires and it will be a PITA to wire it up to the lamp on the dash. Given that I have a fluid reservoir with a built in push switch to test the lamp, do I need to wire in the handbrake lever switch as well?

Do you not have the MSVA manual? The latest 2010 version is now free to download on t'internet in case you didn't know.

To my knowledge there is no requirement for a park brake warning. In fact, for MSVA, I'm not sure any brake warning at all is required except for ABS.

thanks jools. I looked through the MSVA manual and couldn't find a reference to it.
