Car insurance

If you insure a tintop and pay for it monthly, can you cancel it after a couple of month, without being charged.
I've got a car i'm selling but need to insure it until it goes. Any ideas.

My sons ex partner decided to do that and ended up having to pay £150, I think most insurance companies are wise to that and will charge a proportion of the full premium.

They will flatten you with setup fee's I expect.

Best bite the bullet, when sold suspend the insurance until you get a replacement if its only short term.

They make you pay a cancelation fee, and it's normally large.

You can just not pay it but it would negativly affect your credit rating, but I know someone who did this and they didn't chase it up, he just stopped paying them.
