Go on dvla site in the link and put in your reg number and make and it should tell you how much your tax is if they've updated it with your details yet.

Forget all the above as MK is not listed doh !!
Good for checking car tax when buying a car or checking to see if someones cars taxed though.

I would say that PLG IS CORRECT.

Its Private Light Goods. ie its a Private CAR.
As to the Rate of tax, then thats another matter.

It will depend on the age of the engine like as with emissions.
If its of the correct age, with a Cat etc it should benefit from the reduced taxation applicable to that age if engine.
If not then you get lumbered with the £200 rate (cant remember the exact figure).

I am sure its got to all be on the Gov'ts Car tax website.
Also is it a Q plate??

Of course I could be wrong!

Just my 2d's worth

Tax for kit cars has nothing to do with emissions
All based on cc, above or below 1549cc
up to 1549cc £125
over 1549cc £205

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

i had to get mine changed mike.
had to get a local bike shop to do an engineers report stating what the engine no. and size was.
make a copy or 2 before you send it to the DVLA as they lost the 1st one i sent.

engine details on the logbook will tell you if you need to do that though

if thats the case it will still be in the same taxation class so you shouldn't need an engineers report to get the logbook changed.
