17 - 17.5 1999 Ford KA (not really mine, it was dads)
17.5 - 18.5 1998 Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec (This was mums)
18.5 - 19 2002 Honda Civic (the first car registered in my name)
19 - now 1997 Jaguar XJ6
22 - slightly after 22 1978 MG Midget (sold as it was a rust bucket and i needed something less prone to falling apart)
Slightly after 22 - 23 1998 Vauxhall Astra estate auto. Probably the worst car i have driven so far as it was slow, sluggish, boring and had no character. One of the few good parts is that you could fit a jag engine in the boot

Proof:

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

To be honest i did a list with a guy at work about a year ago and when i included company cars, cars i have owned and shared ownership it added up to 147 and i have had about another 6 since then and that doesnt include the ones i class as stock been a motor trader and i am 45.

I get bored of cars really quickly, some which i have always wanted and then thought they were rubbish and sold after a week!!

Audi A3 2.0TDi DSG Sportback S-line (car with the longest name)

Mines pretty short.
I bought my first car when I left Uni in 2008 the week after my 21st birthday. An H Reg 205 Auto 3dr in white, a Car I'd wanted since my dad got me a model of one in the early 90's. After the first winter I decided I wanted to get something more reliable and bought my current car which arrived, fresh from the factory in Poland in may of 09 (a whole month late). My Fiat Panda Eleganza in dark blue.

mini 850
mkIII cortina 2.0 xl
MKI granda 3.0 ghia (fantastic car)
MKV cortina 2.0 xl
MKII granda 2.8 ghia
Mini clubman estate with 1300 engine (truely horrible but fast for the time)
MKIII capri's a few 2.0 S & 3.0 S
SD1 v8 manual

in my poorer years
405 diesel
305 diesel
306 diesel
escort diesel
Jag v12 III, then converted to 5.7 pontiac diesel and got bored with it

In my 4x4 racing years
Handful of classic rangerovers
space framed a few landrovers and raced them, 80" & 86"
couple of P38 4.6 rangrovers (on LPG)
Series I landrover, converted to v8 on coils (second car)
Series IIb landrover (second car)
Series III landrover (second car)
XJS v12
XJS 4.0 manual (great car)
XJS 4.0 auto (not a great car)
Porche 928s4 (very fast)
Mr2 SW20
mr2 sw20 Turbo rev III (the fast one)

In my declining years
XK8 todays car (on LPG)
locost scratch built turbo blade

Next car has to be manual DB7 or maybe XKR, they are now looking cost effective

I,m sure there are some more, the theme is most expensive gas guzzling and as fast as possible when the cash is rolling in , suffer diesel when feeling poor

mgbgt V8 (horrible to drive so only lasted a short while)

Passed my test in 1990 aged 17 so a total now of 20 years driving history and looking at the list, ive had pretty terrible taste at most points of car ownership !
Here goes,

Aged 16: Tr7 Convertible & Mini 1000
Then:
Bedford CF2 Van 2.3 litre
Orion MK2 1600 injection Ghia (Loved this car until it was written off !)
Hyundai pony (Don’t ask)
Rover SD1 3500 S (A brief love affair)
Mini Mayfair (Lots of mods made to this bad boy until it was stolen)
Sierra sapphire 2.0 litre Ghia (daily commute)
TR7 convertible (Yes, another one !)
Austin metro GTA (Handled like nothing else)
Audi 80 (great car until the auto box went)
Orion MK3 1800 injection Ghia (Not a patch on the earlier ones)
Granada 2.9 auto (Sold on as a donor car)
Frontera LWB (Caught fire)
Mazda 121 (Embarrasing)
Mondeo 2.0 litre (Utter shite)
Frontera SWB (Bumpy)
Renault (cant even remember the number, it wasn’t pretty)
Vectra 2.0 litre (Mundane)
Marlin roadster 1800 (Great car, just not my type of shape/style)
Sierra sapphire 2.0 litre Ghia (My current donor car)
SEAT Cordoba 2.0 litre SX coupe (A long love affair with this one, sold to my dad and waiting to inherit it)
Landrover Freelander 1.8 (Written Off)

Current cars:
Mini 1000 1976 1 owner from new (Bought the wife for her birthday)
SAAB 9-5 Saloon 2.3 litre turbo (Current family car)
Luego Velocity XT kit (Nowhere near the stage to call it a car yet)

I may have missed a couple more but the whisky has the better of me tonight

Also in my defence, the Hyundai pony was bought for 600 quid in 1991 (to cover a winter rebuild of my triumph), it changed hands between me and my dad over the years, kind of like a family pool car when something broke on our daily drivers, i once had a rear tyre blow out at 70mph in it. We finally gave it to my cousin last year when it failed an MOT for the 1st time in 18 years of ownership! One of the cheapest cars ive ever owned and to be fair it was a legend, i only expected to keep it for one winter
