Slightly OT: My SV650

Well I am getting itchy feet for something bigger...

Probably looking at a GSF1200 or TLS, just because I am nuts.

Anyway:
2001 Yellow Naked Curvy
~19k miles
12months tax, 6 months mot
In very nice condition, small scrape to left side seat fairing, but very minor. Previous owner dropped it stationary on their drive. No other dents or scrapes, all the levers etc are all straight
Oxford heated grips
Beowulf exhaust can - sounds great
New Avon Storm tyres front and rear less than 500miles ago so as new (still got the lines on them!)
Chain and sprockets in very nice condition, look like they were changed by previous owner
3 owners from new inc me. First for 5yrs, second for 4 then me for the last 7 months.
Alphadotted
Fender xtenda
Rad cover (not in pics)
Some service history. I have it a full going over when I bought it and found no problems. Plugs changed. Stripped out choke plungers and freed off properly
Starts on the button and runs beautifully

Tyres changed shortly after pics were taken

Basically its a nice example of an unmolested bike

Looking for £1600 ono

Yep its in nice condition for its age. Mainly as its low miles and low owners!

Its a K1, nearly the last of the curvies I think. Prefer the carbed curvy to the injection pointy. Seem a bit nicer to ride.

Sounds awesome too with the baffle out of the can its amplified thunder! Put the baffle back in and its MOT legal....

I always wanted a TLS, just because they are bonkers. Not that I am a particularly quick rider, I just like having lots of runt available.

I like the face lift as there is a bit more leg room.

Ive had the litre bikes and come to the conclusion I wouldnt live long.

If I get another I would go for a 600

The nakeds have a different riding position to the faired too. The bars are about 4" higher and pegs further forward. Pretty comfy really

alternative bikes

TLS? great engine, bad brakes and the hype is unfortunately justified. I think that the TLR is the better option
Had an RSV mille and have regretted selling it since the day i did, caved in and bought a blackbird, whick is ok (but it is a blackbird, not an aprilla rsv mille)
bandits are ok, front end a little vauge but can fixed by fitting progressive springs, a proper dyno set up and end can , can add 30 bhp on early 1200's ( i've seen the print out)
the sv is a wee stunner, best of luck with the sale
ultimately any two wheels are good

hope this helps

regards

Ewan
