De Dion
Ahoy !
Bought a kit of bits to make De Dion axles which appears to be a bit of a pot mess !
Can anyone tell me the origin of an irs system narrower than a Sierra.
The jig I have has two settings and I am not sure of the narrower track version.
Also can you use Sierra rear irs set up as a De Dion on the original Locost ?
Cheers Jim

the fisher fury IRS system is sierra based but several inches narrower. Its the same width as an english axle and uses cut down sierra shafts.

GavinC did this conversion on a book chassis using a standard width Sierra axle and DedDion, had to weld the trailing link bracket to the DeDion tube
further inboard to meet up with the chassis brackets.
