zx9r engine query

Under the carbs on the engine there are 4 bolts currently there are pipes coming off the 2 end ones - should pipes be coming off the 2 middle ones as well?

i couldnt get the best pic, that is of the pipe coming off the end hole the bolt head you can see is the next one along with no pipe coming off.

They're for the carb balancers. I have 2 of them joined together too by a pipe. Can't remember just now which two.
ETA Just checked and I have the outer two joined by a pipe and bolts in the middle two as the Haynes manual says.
