FS: Locost 2.1 Pinto 170bhp, LSD, Spax, Willwoods
For sale is my Locost 7 kit car. The chassis was originally built by T+J sportscars in 2001, and the car completed with Escort running gear and a
1.1 CVH engine and was SVA'd later in 2001.
It completed only 1000miles before the previous owner started a rebuild in 2006. I bought it in September 2008 and set about finishing it off, and
re-doing bits I wasn't happy with and got it back on the road in 2010. There is a rebuild thread
here. I have a file full of receipts, instructions, photos, the
wiring diagrams and will put the megajolt maps etc. on DVD.
Only for sale as I just don't have the opportunity to use it as much as I'd like, and we want to go travelling.
Since the rebuild I have done 2200miles. The MoT runs to February 2013 and the tax to the end of Jan 2013. The car has 2 previous owners. I have a
file full of receipts and instructions, and loads of photos, the megajolt maps etc. which I will put on DVD.
The spec. is as follows:

A whole combination of reasons, I'm not using it that much, we want to go travelling more over the next few years as neither or us did before or
after uni, and freeing up the capital and the ongoing cost of it will help towards that.
I forgot to mention in the advert that there is a breathable outdoor cover for it, and I'm in Maidstone, Kent.

Tut tut Hugh. I was hoping to do some track days with you at some point.
Good luck with the sale.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

We may well still manage that, I have a 205 track slag for just such occasions! Albeit without a working engine at this particular moment in time but
it wont be long!

I made it, got the neoprene and a zip (which I didn't end up using) from eBay and just stitched some webbing loops on, removed a fillet from the
sides of the cover to shape it for the roll bar. I then trimmed the edges to size and bound it with a sewing machine.
