Hi all i need help with alternator i have followed this pic but the light stays on it will not go out any help will be much appreciated

Yes the one like a spade end i am stump t i have only got to sort this and rev counter and all elec sorted

The wiring is correct, the warning light goes out when you get a balanced voltage across it Therefore if the bulb does not go out check to see what
voltage is coming out of the alternator.

I am getting 13.9 volts its a Daihatsu Charade alt on pinto eng

Blip the engine and give it a few revs. Some alternators need a bit of a kick to get them going.

alternators use the warning light in a peculiar way, you will require a bulb to the spec of the original car (the Daihatsu Charade) warning light.
