One step forward and two steps back

After a few years of being off the road, I started preparing my Robin Hood for MOTing. The carb was gunked up from old petrol, so I bought a refurb kit and cleaner and sorted that. Started it up and found that the exhaust has split along the seam of a tube, where the four headers curve 90° into the 4 to 1 collector. Something else to sort!

Yeah that sounds about right, these cars are never finished, and a few hours each week seams to be the normal checking things and changing them ready to go out again, and that's before my IVA retest even !!

Hah, at least I haven't got that. I got mine through (SVA) on the second attempt, 20-1/2 years ago. Failures first time were mirror positions and lack of padding on tank straps.
