This shop.

I've been here a long time now and still not been let in. So clearly it's not a "time served" key to the door.

Still very unsure what's in the shop and what I might frazzle my money on if I got in there

Keep up at the back SJ, the shop's been talked of on here for years & years now. Whether you'll find a member who has gained entry (or would admit that to the rest of us) is a very different subject. I don't even know if anyone knows where the door is and what payment methods "the shop" might accept.

There's always one...do you have to be a web coding wizard to find it and get in?

David!

You should have mastered the art of telling nearest and dearest a favourable price for the item(s) purchased.

Personally I don't consider this to be telling porkies, merely easing your way through life with less grief.

On the flip side I'll make a T shirt last for many many years - they get more comfortable and the value for money improves along the way.

Edit to add - when building my MK Indy I used to get parts purchased mail order delivered to my work. Then I could bring them home at my convenience.

Seems like _luke hasn't noticed yet, there's still hundreds of fake users who seem to be able to register without validating their email address.

Does the e-mail have to be unique? If not could use just one e-mail for all applications and fairly simple to create a script to activate the e-mail content.
Then again if that's occurring it would hopefully be simple to create a script to block multiple accounts with the same e-mail address and prevent the bot from registering more.

Normally all members have to have unique email addresses.
In this case they're putting in garbage addresses like me@email.com but filling in otherwise "believable" data.

The thing is, if the forum doesn't ask for unique address AND validation before registration completes, you're buggered.

There are loads of US and Aus companies that still don't do email validation, I'm continuously getting spammed by people who've used my email address like when Halfords asks for your email address to send a receipt to. Instead of holding the receipt and awaiting validation, they just sign up the email address and start spamming. Drives me nuts, and I go out of my way to annoy the data holders until they correct it.

A huge number of "guests" have just arrived in the member list - all looking very spurious.

Currently as I type, there are 266 guests on-line, and 3 or 4 proper members.

not easy to deal with - they've all registered from different IP addresses and they haven't completed verification so they shouldn't be able to post?
