Worth it???????

talk about unrelated...

I'm considering on the way home replacing my little x-box with the new 360 one.

Honest opinions only please, is it much better than the old machine?

I mean are we talking Ps1 to Ps2 difference or is it much less?

I'd hold on if I were you. PS3 is a league ahead of xbox 360 and plays hi-def DVDs too, I'm waiting till it comes down from inflated launch price then having one of them. Xbox 360 is very nearly last-generation already.

Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead is purely coincidental. Some assembly required. Batteries not included. Contents may settle during shipment. Use only as directed. No other warranty expressed or implied. Do not use while operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment. Subject to approval, terms and conditions apply. Apply only to affected area. For recreational use only. All models over 18 years of age. No user-serviceable parts inside. Subject to change. As seen on TV. One size fits all. May contain nuts. Slippery when wet. For office use only. Edited for television. Keep cool; process promptly.

Yes to both of those.

Graphics quality is amazing, it can play HD DVDs with the addon.

Not wanting to start a war of words but.........There is very little to choose specification wise between the two. They both have Pro's and Con's. They can BOTH play HiDef video (blueray vs HD-DVD), and graphically there is not much, if anything between them.

Hardware aside, its down to the software and at the moment the XBOX360 has the better games. That not to say that the PS3 won't catch up in the near future.

Just do'nt go away thinking that the PS3 is a much better machine............

And I'm mre than happy (and will be for a long time) with my original "tweaked" xbox.

(Quick thanks to Calvinx for that)...

Especially as it's now wired up as a media centre.

Pat,

Heard someone else talk about media centre, what's the deal here? I've got an earlyish xbox, black case with the original style controller.

Sorry , going off topic

Ned.

Got a 360 about two weeks ago and it's defo devorce material. I got rainbow six vegas and thought it was brilliant and then i played it on xb0x live, And it's unbeleivable. Very addictive and I'm never been one for consoles and games, but i am now. GO FOR IT!

Got it last night.

Went to bed a 3.30 in the morning…

Playing Medal of Honour just can’t believe the graphics quality, even the grass and trees blow in the wind!

On my second can of redbull, today’s going to be a bit of a struggle
