deal or no deal
My car is for sale (see for sale section). I've been offered £5750 but i want more like £6500. Should i take £5750 or hold out for more or shall
i keep it? I dont know what to do. Part of me says don't let it go for any less than £6k and if it doesn't sell just keep it.
Its exactly how i want it now and runs perfect but i just dont have time to use it and it seems a shame it being sat in garage.
I've only had 1 serious person to view who offerd 5750. Is it too dear at £6500?
any comments welcomed guys.

It's easy for others to say it, but if you need the money then you need the money.
If it were me, I would not come down that much.

Should have taken the 6k i offered you when i came to see it.
To be honest it is probably worth 6k but i didn't think anymore than that. There are a fair few becs for sale at the moment you only have to
look on pistonheads for choice...
From memory as it was nearly a month ago you started at £7000....

u offered 6k and i said no. Then i called u and said i'd accept 6k and u said 5500. Seemed to me that whatever price i'd have said
you'd have gone lower?
like i said i've only had 1 serious person to look at it who i actually think will put his money where his mouth is but until my palm is crossed
with some beer tokens anything can happen.
i'm not desperate to sell or need the cash but i just dont use it.

You must have got the wrong bloke mate, 6k was my offer on the night and no other since.
Remember, you did ring and said you had a few offers and was going to take the highest bidder was i still interested and was that my best price...
The guy that came with me also has a nice bec and agreed with me on the price i offered..
I have since bought a bec that has just been sva'd so basically as new for what you originally had yours priced at...
If you can get the cash the guy is offering then i would take it... but that is only my opinion it is your pride and joy after all...

To be honest, if i was the bloke who's offered 6k, depending on when you came back i'd make a lower offer.........
Logic is this,
if you've come back the next day, you've thought about it and decided to relent and let me have it at that price - deal done.
If you've come back a week later, saying "is that your best price, other offers etc" i'd think you where trying to get more
out of me, therefore you either had a better / closer offer and wanted to get a bidding war OR you where getting desperate. If you're desperate
then i'll offer less, I'm northern, i like my money in my pocket. If you want a bidding war then i don't want to get involved (see
previous sentence  )
Hope that makes sense.
As for what its worth - combination of what you'll accept and what someone will pay! I know that doesn't help but its a sad fact. From
comments on here, about 6k sounds popular.

To start a thread asking this question then it seems to me that you would end up disapointed if you sold it.
BUT
If you do need the cash then I have to say it is a buyers market at the mo - lots of choice for similar money - you could stick to your guns and
simply end up selling it for even less once the weather turns even worse ina few months. OR sell it now for a bit less than you feel it's
worth.
Crappy position to be in.

My STM locoblade on an age related 03 plate sold for £6500 recently. Take the money, dont bother with opening the box. Just take the money as soon as
you can.

If it just how you want it keep it. Sell the tintop by some weather gear and use the bec as a daily driver for a while once you are bored with it then
sell it!

it must only be the STM's that dont fetch as much as some other BEC's ie Q plate Indies go for 7-8k with a good ok spec
