Property development
My brother and i are looking into property development.
Does anyone know if there are there any sites that offer cheap houses for sale that need doing up?
If not where is the best place to start looking?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

such sites dont exist. Anyone in the trade with knowledge of good deals will pass them to people they know for a cut. If you find a site selling
bargain houses, its probaby really selling 'problem' houses and making the owner a fortune.
I knew a guy who would buy the large houses in student areas, convert to bedsites and then sell to people to rent to students. He had dedicated teams
of builders and a full time mortgage broker who could sort finance for anyone, needless to say he's now a multi millionaire. This is where money
is in property, too many people are trying property development in the mundane sense. As millemg says, the days of easy money are long gone!

i made two offers on my plot ,both were rejected so i did some snooping and contacted the seller direct,he knew nothing about my offers and it looked
like the agent was sitiing on the site for a builder mate of his to develop it together. there is a real network between agents and developers ,

My neighbour is an estate agent.
As froggy said - spot on.
