Ouch...! Has it bent the chassis, or it new bones, rad and nosecone to keep you busy over winter? Oh and don't forget to sort your brakes - you don't want to have an accident!

jamrogers - 9/10/09 at 03:14 PM

by the way i'd recomend wearing a helmet if you have an aeroscreen or no windscreen as the cyclewing hit my helmet visor. Also get seats with some kind of head restraint so u dont get whiplash.

Nasty!

Are the brakes as at SVA or have you altered them since? What happened? I thought if the backs locked up you'd expect it to swap ends and crash backwards.

Chassis is bent. I was doing about 50 when it spun and hit the central reservation on a dual carrigeway. I would however prase the tiger chassis as it stood up very well and possibly saved my life. I'll be getting a new one from them now i know how good they stand up in a crash.

not touched the brakes since sva. the only other thing i can think of is that the diff went and locked up the rear wheels or gearbox went maybe. I'm going to start striping it at the weekend. so i'll keep you all informed.

looks like your bonnet dosnt fit correctly.

hope its ok on a serious note, i have a spare polo rad that new if that helps you out.

Johneturbo - 9/10/09 at 03:43 PM

Hope you find out that caused it to lock up, nothing worse than not knowing.

good luck with the rebuild thou

Werner Van Loock - 9/10/09 at 05:23 PM

good you're ok

was the diff filled with oil, seems a easlily missed thing with serious results

not long ago someone else on here had a seized diff while going to or from sva

jamrogers - 9/10/09 at 08:06 PM

should be i remember filling it up. I just finished removing the engine and box. I took the inspection cover off of the box, put it in first and turned the engine over using a socket on the crank pully, and the gears look fine. so its eiher the diff or brakes.

Tiger Super Six - 13/11/09 at 10:49 AM

Did you find out what the cause was?

MikeRJ - 14/12/09 at 06:08 PM

Where you actually braking hard at the time?
