Having only had my Mk Indy for a week or so I'm still getting the hang or driving it.. Totally different to my Fiat Coupe 20VT.

RWD means I can't just floor it whilst coming out of a corner. However I've noticed this week with the high winds we have had that the car fells a little un-stable. I'm putting this down to the car being approx 500kg and not 1500kg like the Coupe..
It's still fun tho but I must try a new helmet that fits nice and snug and that also stops my glasses (vari-focials) from moving.. Kind of hard to keep focused on the road so watch out if you are if front of me

My guess is its the car weight you are noticing, or lack of it...



Interesting point on the varifocals and helmet, age 45 I now need some for work where I wear a helmet. I now have problems trying to read an A-Z while looking down about 700ft.

Have you got the ones with three sections in ? ie distance, arms length and reading ?


How you finding them ?

I did try bi-focals a few years back but could not get on with them. They do say you must try wearing them for a few weeks.. My eyes got worse and I got pissed off with changing from reading glasses to normals ones when someone walked in my office. So I gave the vari-focals a go.. Them work well once you give them time..
If you don't get on with them most shops will give you a FULL refund against a pair of reading and driving glasses..
As for the wind!!! I guess one answer is to carry a few bags of sand in the passanger well

Steve. I experienced this too when it was windy. It's slightly unnurving !!
I thought it was wind getting under the car and having a lifting effect on it.
Thus reducing downforce. U could fit a dufusser to the rear which would help I'm sure but I didn't think it was to bad. Just added to the experience !!

Vari focals made me so seasick (on dry land) I had to give up on them after a week of trying - an expensive mistake

I was going to buy them online, but i need to try them on with my work lid on, as previous specs Ive bought were useless once the lid was on.


Im not normally sea sick, My work normally involves me being thrown about anyway, so hopefully the glasses wont make me barf.


Its the price of them making me whince to be honest, usually pay £200 for specs, and now with all the add ons they are starting to get a bit steep.


My money is for spending in my garage, not old mans glasses
