Went out for a spin today to see one of my sites in Paignton. At a
tee junction I stopped and noticed to my left a lorry in a side
road. It was very big with his reversing lights on. Oh poo I bet he
can't see me. I leaned on the horn, jammed it in gear a floored it.
I pulled away only just quick enough as the lorry caught my rear
wheel arch. There are a couple of scratches that should cut out.
Lorry driver apologised, but wasn't really his fault. Note to self:
try not to get in big heavy things blind spot!!! Could have been a
lot worse as I had my 9 year old daughter in the passengers seat.
Steve,
I'm glad you, your daughter and the car are alright, but it was the lorry drivers fault.
Personally I'd have got him to fork out for a new set of wings + fitting time... not looking in his mirror's whilst reversing?
If you'de have done it (bearing in mind that you can't in the 7) then who's fault would it have been...
If he was reversing out into the road, he should have had a 'spotter' on the roadside waving him out...
