Anyone know of a disused airfield in East Anglia or similar place where I can take my car for some road testing. I don't want to pay loads of money for a track day, because I'm a tight arse! Also I don't want to get in anyone's way while I fiddle and fart around with my car!

There's a nice big airfield just round the corner from you, I'm sure those Yanks won't mind if you borrow a corner for a while...

Eye airfield mate. Theres a sign up saying private property but theres never any problem with going on there. Just drive on. Theres always learners there with there dads etc.

I thought East Anglia was one big airfield???

Pretty much correct...
...and the bits that aren't designated airfields are so flat that they'll do in an emergency!
