Hi guy,
Thinking about taking a trip over to the mainland for a round of the RGB Championship..
Can anyone tell me..
How are the classes structured now?
Is there still a blade 919 class?
Has anyone got a calendar handy? to see what is happening where over the next 3 months..?
Thanks,
Iain
The classes for RGB are now;
F - Front engined sub 1000cc engines produced prior to 01/01/2009
R - Mid engined sub 1000cc engines produced prior to 01/01/2009
A - Engines less than 180bhp but larger than 1000cc - no new entries allowed after 2011
Currently within class F there is a Fireblade 893 / 919 trophy - New engine for the highest placed 893 / 919 driver at the end of the year.

Ian has explained it spot on. You would fit in the class F no problem. We have ~4 guys running the older blade engines this year, including a Westy
Megablade.
As for timetable, go to www.750mc.co.uk and click on the racing tab - there you will find details of the race calender and race entry forms etc.
We are racing :-
21/22 May at Snetterton (double header)
2nd July at Donington (single race)
30/31 July at Snetterton (double header)
27th August Silverstone (single race)
10th Sept at Oulton Park (single race)
24/25 Sept at Pembrey (double header)
8th October Donington (double header)
Bring some of your friends over, they would be more than welcome.

The newer 1000cc engines do improve lap times, but maybe not as much as you would think! At Brands, drivers who had switched to 2008 Blade engines
were doing 1 - 1.5 seconds a lap faster. As you know though, there is a lot of time in the driver and well driven 919's still finish in the mid
pack, especially at the more twisty, technical tracks. As an example, the last race at Brands, a 919 car was 4th in F class.
Having a chat to Andy B is a good idea :-)
Cheers
