thanks mark, got your u2u's.
the category a,b,c,d is the class within the sprint series i am currently looking at, class a being standard production.
i have now found my old 2002 blue book but i don't quite understand what the section mean.
specifically i'm trying to understand what i'd need to do to comply with 5.2.2 from these regs:
http://www.twmc.org.uk/downloads/ACRegsA4.pdf
ie do a need a rollcage, fire extuinguisher etc, i know where there is a suitable omp cage going for only £140 though if i do need it i need to make
sure it's of suitable design/type..
thanks for your help so far mark, most appreciated.
Ned.

Ok I see,
Local regs can vary from location to location but....
What car are you looking to run?
Standard production cars don't HAVE to have a cage as far as I know - I would just ask yourself how safe you would feel if it rolled at
70mph......
In my class which would be your cat B a hoop with backstays is compulsory ( I have a front stay in to the passenger footwell which seems to pass
muster)
Fire extinguisers are not usually compulsory - I carry one but don't have the full automatic installation. Again if you would feel happier with
one no one is going to object as long as it secured properly

thanks again mark, you have u2u.
