Croft today, bit of an incident.. :-(
Andy D - 6/11/08 at 08:23 PM

Well, a very wet trackday at Croft today. Pete was doing really well, keeping it all together, while most were having multiple spins, offs etc etc.. (I wasn't there, stuck at work.)

Then it happened! The Civic is not badly damaged, a good fettle with a big 'ammer will sort most of it out.

CROFT CRUNCH VID.

Bugger!

DOOHHHH!!!!!!!
A bit of T-cut will sort it.

welderman - 6/11/08 at 08:42 PM

could have been worse if it had hit the "7" type car. Glad the driver is ok

clairetoo - 6/11/08 at 08:43 PM

Bad luck - still , it could have been a lot worse

adithorp - 6/11/08 at 08:50 PM

Nasty but could have been worse unlike the weather by the look of it.

oh dear, it wasnt even your fault, only did it to avvoid the 7

Jubal - 6/11/08 at 09:28 PM

Yeah, echoing those above. Shame it was to avoid the spinning car (MNR?). Nasty weather eh? Again...

Yeah, what a shame!
- The seven got away lightly for sure.

PAUL FISHER - 6/11/08 at 10:47 PM

he did well not to T bone the MNR could have been bad news for them if he had

procomp - 7/11/08 at 08:20 AM

Hi Andy.

Bad luck for Pete. But i bet he was glad to have been in the tintop rather than the westy. That would have cost a few extra £'s to sort out.

Mind you at least he has gotten the first damage of the car out the way. Now he can get on with the racing without worrying about the door handles and wing mirrors getting entangled.

Cheers Matt

Darren, thanks for the offer. Doubt we'll need it, it just wants a bit of a bash about with a big 'ammer I reckon. ....

Yes, glad he wasn't in the Westy, it'd be a new corner, plus plastic bits! not cheap..

DarrenW - 7/11/08 at 03:48 PM

There is or used to be a place over stockton way that specialised in breaking jap cars (ie stripping them down and selling spares as opposed to what Pete does!). Probs called Jap Parts or Jap Spares. As you say though worth bashing back into shape and getting some more track time in before worrying about keeping it presentable. At least the headlight hole might now make an air scoop for induction filter.

I know the place your on about. There were a spare pair of front wings with the car, and headlights, as you say though, he was wanting to get rid of the lights, and just fit alloy covers. The plastic bumper will probably repair. We'll sort it...

bigfoot4616 - 7/11/08 at 08:32 PM

was a shame, the civic was going quite well before hand. lost count of how many times he came past me.
