As the car is mapped now - I fancy going for a ride this weekend and was wondering if anyone would care to join me...?
Anyone and everyone invited and welcome to join up at any point on the route as I appreciate its quite long...
Meet in Wisbech Shell services (just off the Elm roundabout on the A47) at 10am on Sunday morning
Head toward Outwell on A1101, then toward Welney on one of my fave roads...nice and twisty in places and plenty of overtaking opportunities.
Join A10 and head up toward Downham Market. Chance to stop in services for a break - large parking area.
Take A1122 towards Swaffham
B1153 to Gayton, then on to Hillington
Continue on 1153 to Docking, another great twisty road which is usually quiet. Flat and good over taking ops again. Several places to stop for a break
etc should anyone want to.
B1454 to Heacham - another twisty road
A149 to Brancaster - Stop for lunch in Jolly Sailors - brill pub and beautiful seafood! Also another opportunity to stop for fuel if anyone needs
some!

Continue on coast road to Wells. Again another chance to stop.
B1105 to Fakenham - another chance for more fuel and a break.
A148 back to Lynn and A47 back to Wisbech.
The whole run is about 120miles with plenty of stops off on the way and plenty of petrol stations too. Intention would to be back in Wisbech at around
late afternoon.
Pace will be mostly lesuirely (my licence is too precious) but brisk at some points.
If anyone wants to join for part of the route then thats fine. It crosses over a few times so theres opportunities to leave if you wanted.
It takes in some of my favourite driving roads in the county
Google Maps Linky
Would be great to have a few cars tag along and keep us company

Kev
Started with 4 meeting at Wisbech plus one tintop who couldnt make the run but came to say hi.
Daves throttle cable came loose, fixed with a cable tie, but he decided to limp it home rather than risk the journey.
So that left just 3 of us. ot joined by a Caterham R300 Superlight rather randomly at Hillington, no idea who it was and they left at Hunstanton.
There were then another 3 cars at the Jolly Sailors, who then left to go to Holkham Hall as we carried on around the loop.
All in all a nice day out - traffic was mostly slow but nevermind.
Now very burnt and it was waaay too hot even on the move!
I'll organise another one later in the summer and hopefully more will join
It was a good day out - but OMG it was hot
I crashed on the sofa with a wet flannel on my face as soon as I got home................
A couple of pictures - one at the pub for lunch
Sunday run
And one on the move
