I am starting stripping my old sierra and need a hand lifting the engine out as i am 'only' a woman, make good tea and bacon butties though help !!!!

stephen_gusterson - 22/9/02 at 06:43 PM

i got a v6 out on my own, with the aid of a lifter, and im a fairly slightly build person.

Using an engine lift makes things a lot easier

Yes but your not blonde are you..
but then I guess an engine lift doesnt need an endless supply of bacon butties and tea.

Findlay234 - 23/9/02 at 07:45 AM

use the engine crane, you can do it as a one man/woman job. but if you need it, anyone on on this forum would help.

James - 23/9/02 at 01:21 PM

Definately use a crane- I'm sitting here in bl**dy agony having lifted my Pinto wrongly yesterday.

Combine that with then managing to angle grind the back of my hand with the wire brush attachment and you'd begin to think that for me yesterday wasn't a satisfying day!
