Uxbridge Autoshow - who needs a ticket?
GeoffT - 20/5/13 at 09:26 AM

In a few weeks time I'll need to order the tickets for this year's Uxbridge Autoshow (21st July) so need to have a list of names fairly soon. The show has been dogged by bad weather the last couple of years to the extent that last year's show was cancelled, causing a big financial hit to the organisers and charities involved, so it would be good to give them all the support we can.

It's still just a fiver for entry but they have taken to sending the tickets out just a couple of weeks before the show date which doesn't give much time to hand them out at Newlands meets, etc, so if you could add 60p towards postage (making it £5.60) that would be great.

Just to be clear, these tickets are for those who want to exhibit their cars on the Locostbuilders pitch, for any other type of entry use the booking system on the website. It doesn't have to be a Locost, or even a 'seven', anything interesting should be ok, even MX5's are welcome......:-)

It's well worth booking your ticket in advance as although you can turn up on the day (and would be welcome to use our pitch) this will cost you more. All proceeds go to charities, so even if the worst happens and it's completely rained off again, your hard-earned cash won't have been wasted.

I can accept Paypal (preferred) or a cheque will do fine, please u2u for address/paypal details. If I'm likely to see you at a meet beforehand then cash will do nicely....

Geoff.

Just a few takers so far - plenty of room on our pitch for more.

Why not come along - it'll be a great day out....

Sadly i will be unable to attend this years event.

Thanks to Geoff I will be bringing the RS down. Not Locost I know, but still an interesting car I hope!

EDIT: If you're really lucky I'll bring the mobility scooter too!

I'll need to get these tickets ordered by the end of the week so this is pretty much a last call if you fancy going.

It'll be the best fiver's worth you'll ever get - why not come along....?

GeoffT - 25/6/13 at 11:18 AM

Tickets have now arrived, I just need to u2u a couple of people for addresses, but you should be receiving them over the next few days...

GeoffT - 20/7/13 at 11:29 AM

Looking like no probs with the weather this year, so looking forward to seeing you fellas there tomorrow...

We won't have the benefit of Bob's wondrous gazebo this time, so might be worth taking a brolly or summat in case the sun starts to gently baste...

scudderfish - 21/7/13 at 07:24 AM

I won't be there I'm afraid, my car isn't ready

whitestu - 21/7/13 at 08:39 AM

I'm living in the middle of a building site and can't get the car out of the garage so can't make it.

The locostbuilders clan were spread a bit thin this year, shame really as it was an excellent show with perfect weather for a change.

Hopefully next year a few more souls will be able to make it along.......

Macbeast - 21/7/13 at 07:34 PM

Bit of a disgrace really to be outnumbered two to one by the Hoodies
Didn't even think to ask John for a haircut.

bob - 23/7/13 at 09:37 PM

Sadly could not attend this year, i was on my way back from Perthshire on the Sunday.

James - 23/7/13 at 10:51 PM
