Ok where is it gonna be. Some say Box Hill, Some say Newlands.

I say Box hill cos this is going to be the coldest time of year!!

Andy (the bloke who 'may' buy another 7!!! )

ned - 7/1/05 at 10:31 AM

has to be boxhill as will be too cold for newlands still i recon (and that's comng from someone who live 5 mins from newlands and 30mins from boxhill!)

Ned.

James - 7/1/05 at 10:50 AM

Count me in for Box Hill.

James

bob - 7/1/05 at 12:10 PM

I'm not bothered where it is

The hill is probably better but the weather will be the same at newlands anyway as its only 20 mins up the road.

ned - 7/1/05 at 12:14 PM

yes but at boxhill you can freeze indoors and out!

bob - 7/1/05 at 12:18 PM

I'm going to freeze on the way anyway so i might just as well stay cold

I'll fit that screen one day

James - 7/1/05 at 01:28 PM

Don't tell me you're actually gonna drive the car?

I mean, there must be something you can dismantle before Sunday!

James

ned - 7/1/05 at 01:40 PM

James,

don't take the mick when you didn't even make the january meet - bob was in his car then and you missed it

Ned.

James - 7/1/05 at 03:38 PM

bob - 7/1/05 at 03:39 PM

donut - 7/1/05 at 04:39 PM

bob - 9/1/05 at 11:39 PM

ned - 10/1/05 at 10:04 AM

the number of times i've given lifts to that young lad, i don't know [tut tut] what with global warming and everything sharing lifts is my bit towards the environment (or making up for when the fuel guzzling, polluting locost is finished )

Ned.

bob - 10/1/05 at 10:34 AM

global warming my arse!!

If he's not picked up he will turn up at a different venue

Building an extension next I'm afraid - car money has to go to that.

But once that's done and I've saved a few ££££ I'm thinking of the Stylus RT with an S2000 engine. Yes, I did see that one for sale, but it's about double overpriced...

BTW - let me know if you're interested in mine complete, I'm may well sell as a whole.

donut - 10/1/05 at 01:41 PM

How fixable do you think it is? Whatabout the insurance write of as i'd really rather not go through sva again!

Drop me an email to discuss further.

Cheers

ned - 10/1/05 at 02:41 PM

Andy,

buy a new chassis, re stamp chassis number, fit engine, new same colour bodywork etc get inspected by dvla/vosa and use same reg plates. no sva. but really you tell them you've rebuilt/repaired the chassis (i think). mark allanson knows about the insurance side - ask him!

Ned.

Jasper - 10/1/05 at 03:25 PM

Andy - you have mail

donut - 10/1/05 at 05:25 PM

trueblue - 17/1/05 at 04:32 PM

I know dorking roughly (normaly head up through leigh) but never actualy been up box hill

Pez

Deckman001 - 17/1/05 at 09:31 PM

The meet is in Ryka's cafe at the bottom of the hill near the roundabout , there is a big car park often found with loads of bikes, and it's best to park around the outside as the bikers don't care if they box you in in the middle !!

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=517161&y=152054&z=1&sv=517250,152250&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.s rf

this might help

Jason

donut - 17/1/05 at 09:37 PM

There is a big white Hotel called The Burford Bridge Hotel which in on a roundabout. If you turn off at that roundabout and drive past the hotel you will see the carpark and us lot drinking tea!!

Pez

ghvh - 18/1/05 at 12:17 AM

Hi
Can anyone come and join in?
My locost is nearing its SVA (hopefully in mid Feb) so any last min. advice and a look at your cars would be helpful.
What time are you at Boxhill?

donut - 18/1/05 at 07:44 AM

.....and for those of us who drive our locosts at this time of year, its madness to travel so early whilst the road conditions are so iffy, its better to wait until any icy/slippy spots are well and truly thawed.
We dont want any more totalled locosts just for the sake of getting there for 9am...do we?
Fozzie

theconrodkid - 18/1/05 at 12:16 PM

Fozzie - 18/1/05 at 12:22 PM

Tee-hee
The last meet, (2nd Jan) I wasn't even going to because: 1) it was off-spring number4's birthday, 2) i WAS feeling browned-off, but as John called round anyway, I decided to go (after a cuppa of course), hence the lateness of arrival!

fozzie

donut - 18/1/05 at 03:18 PM

I used to get there at about 8:30 but must admit its getting latter and later...i must be getting old

Fozzie - 18/1/05 at 03:47 PM

Amendment.....John IS younger than me.....by about six months.....

Fozzie

donut - 18/1/05 at 05:29 PM

Fozzie - 18/1/05 at 09:16 PM
