andylancaster3000 - 24/5/05 at 05:24 PM

Fozzie - 25/5/05 at 09:40 PM

sounds like a plan batman , anyone fancy picking me up on the way through guildford? I'll check the map, but sure I can advise on some nice roads as I know the area quite well

Neddy.

theconrodkid - 26/5/05 at 10:10 AM

just rang the cafe and they are shut monday any other sugestionshttp://kawasakiw650.co.uk/BikerFriendly/friendly.htm
some more ideas here if anyone knows them

[Edited on 26/5/05 by theconrodkid]

Fozzie - 26/5/05 at 10:22 AM

B%gger!..thats bad news......
Back to the drawingboard then...

Fozzie

ned - 26/5/05 at 11:43 AM

does it have to be a brekky as such? or does it have to have onsite food?

there is a really nice viewpoint here

on the south downs, just south of petworth (nice roads to get there aswell) coudl be a meeting point or convoy to there, then there's a nice pub just down the road ( 1 mile) that i can certainly recommend the food for an early lunch perhaps

another option would be to meet at newlands for brekky then go for a drive/stop at a pub perhaps?! i kow a nice pub in grayswood which is only about 20 mins from guildford..

Neddy.

andylancaster3000 - 26/5/05 at 09:20 PM

I don't want to 'dampen' spirits too much but just checked the forecast for monday...

http://uk.weather.com/weather/detail/GU8?dayNum=4

Andy.

(sorry about the poor joke!)

Fozzie - 26/5/05 at 09:36 PM

Yup, saw that earlier Andy, , but ta anyway...the weather forecasts seem to change by the hour, so it could be different by then...hopefully

Fozzie

BMF - 27/5/05 at 01:52 PM

What about the Devils punchbowl? But the Hindhead junc could be bad!

The roads down to Grayswood and Haslemere are great!

ned - 27/5/05 at 01:56 PM

nearly suggested there ben, but several factors (i used to live 1/2 mile round the corner)
1.) think you have to pay for the car park now
2.) it will be ultra busy
3.) not sure they do hot food
4.) you have to walk from the carpark to get the view

Ned.

BMF - 27/5/05 at 02:00 PM

Good point, didn't realise you guys wanted a view so much!!!! Nothing better than the sound from 45's and a nice view hey boys!!!

theconrodkid - 27/5/05 at 02:45 PM

its pay and display, how long would the tickets stay displayed?

ned - 27/5/05 at 03:23 PM

BMF - 27/5/05 at 03:40 PM

Surrey Dave - 27/5/05 at 03:41 PM

BMF - 27/5/05 at 03:55 PM

ned - 29/5/05 at 05:03 PM

Ned.

bob - 29/5/05 at 05:29 PM

I like the view at Newlands

andylancaster3000 - 29/5/05 at 09:38 PM

Any idea of a time tomorrow morning? Wouldn't want to be too eager and get there too early (or an idiot and be late!)

Andy

Great meet! and great to meet Ben (BMF) and Andy.

I must say a very big thankyou to Bob and Ned for coming to my rescue!
I dunno, you let the other half drive ya pride and joy, and what happens?...they break it!
Ok, so it wasn't that bad, only a wing stay, but thanks to Bobs spanners, it turned out ok in the end.
Thanks also to James for the 'protective' paper to save the wing from further damage.
What a great bunch of lads!

Fozzie

theconrodkid - 30/5/05 at 04:34 PM

ned - 31/5/05 at 10:30 PM

Ben,

by all means check with the dvla, but i think i'd be happier if i signed it over, just so i'm not going to be liable for any sorn penalties even though i've not declared it and not had a letter to date

Ned.

you gets what you paid for.

Steve P

Can't imagine why mate. I mean, what with that busy job you spend all your time on!

Guess I should think myself lucky with only two jobs, a girlfriend that needs visiting at uni, a group of friends who insist of spiking my vodka with Redbull and a 3/4 times a week kickboxing hobby!

Anyway, was good to meet everyone. Seeya Sunday.

Cheers,
James
