I'll be going.
First track day in the new Indy R1, freshly brought down from Scotland yesterday (cheers drew) and I took it out for my first blast tonight cant wipe the smile off my face.
I need to get used to the throttle (how sensitive!!) and the clutch or should I say switch
I'm on the entry list as driving my old XR2 and they havent updated it yet to the new car

Lets all pray to the sun god for a nice day on Sunday.
See you there

Paul

Any places left?

PAUL FISHER - 19/9/05 at 09:15 PM

was fully booked up two weeks ago, sometimes its worth turning up on the day though,in case someone drops out, during the morning ,you can always get on for the afternoon session, for £50

skydivepaul - 19/9/05 at 09:22 PM

You could always have a go at York dragway if you cant get on the trackday, have a look at the "Dragging at York" thread on this forum
cheers Paul

Hi Northy,
Was it you who bought my welder???

Andy W - 19/9/05 at 09:33 PM

If you turn up on the day, do you need anything other than license and helmet?

Andy

PAUL FISHER - 19/9/05 at 09:42 PM

a car is always handy, but yes helmet, and licence,is all you need.

skydivepaul - 19/9/05 at 09:44 PM

plenty of fuel!!!! you will use it..
They take a dim view of having to recover people who run out of fuel on circuit

There is a garage a few miles away that you can fill up at lunch time but I would bring a bit extra with you.

Footpump and pressure gauge but you are welcome to borrow mine if you need to.

They also require that your arms and legs are covered whilst out on track..i .e no shorts and T shirts

cheers

Paul

Just a note on fuel guy's

i went passed the garage in elvington two day's ago and they were charging £107 per litre the robbing git's so i would buy on route or take a can full.
The highest its been around that area is around 95-96 pence and its now cheaper in places

PAUL FISHER - 20/9/05 at 10:46 AM

And the garage in elvinghton, does not sell super unleaded either,£1.07 for unleaded

skydivepaul - 20/9/05 at 08:33 PM

Hi Steve,
I'm looking forward to Sunday and it looks like there will be a few MK's around. Its the first time out in my new MK Indy R1 and i've only driven about 10 miles on the road so far so plenty for me to get used to. Look forward to having a natter with fellow locost owners, if you can get there early enough you can usually choose a decent parking area and get a few cars parked togethor. I'm hoping to arrive about 8:00 (not like my usual 9:30 and run to the safety briefing). If I manage to crawl out of bed early enough and do arrive at 8:00 I can try to save a few places if anyones interested.
Look for an Orange MK Indy as my avatar on a galv trailer.
Cheers Paul
