hello all.

its been mentinoed already, but is anyone else off to the trackday at donny on 29/12? I believe paul is off, and the missus doesnt mind me going, so thats a start but anyone else? One of my friends in an MK might be there too...

The best bit, is, its only Ł99 atm and you get a refund if you get snowed out!

when i say i'll be there in my tin top, i'm going to come and watch you guys, a mate of mine is going in his RS turbo, had an argument(debate) with him in the pub the other night, reckons his 20 year old escort can beat a BEC round donnington!!!! yeah right

is his rst heavily modded? if not then he's got not a chance in hell unless it's snowing and even then in a mk3/4 escort they are about as poor in the wet as a 7 is anyway!

i wouldn't even put my cosworth up against a 7 on a twisty track and thats running 320ish bhp munch anything on a straight but show it a corner and it just laughs!

According to BBC weather for Thursday is FULL SUN though Wednesday and Friday are both wet...

I live 15 miles away and this is my back garden. Anyone live closer or know the conditions at the track ? I tried to ring the track today but got no answer. If it's on I'm still going.

Its not looking good,realy wanted a good blast as well,although no more snow is forcast,its droping to -5 tonight,and only going to get up to +1 tomorrow,and they don't grit race circuits so my bet it will be still snow covered,Ive tried to phone them too,with no luck.

I've just driven up to the circuit. The security guard on the gate said the trackday tomorrow has been cancelled

I took a few photos of what I could see of the circuit. I guess this is a close as we will get this time.

thanks for the update. I guessed it might have been cancelled due to our fantastic weather. You would have no chance round donington in 1/2" of snow and ice!!!
Never mind pleanty of track days to do for next year.
