That is one of the funniest responses I have seen on here in ages.

smart51 - 25/10/06 at 02:14 PM

In Italy you have fiat and alfa romeo and lancia and ferrari. In Britain we have London Taxi and Locost.

Sounds like an extremely good plan to me....
Rudy, we will think of you as the boats pass on the River Thames....
The local rowing clubs practice along there on a Sunday

John that link to the map is not of the Thames, thats Walton-on Thames rail....
I shall find the proper one....

Fozzie

David, a birthday a day after Johns, on bonfire night?
We shall think of you when we are eating our 'Full English Brekkies'

Fozzie - 26/10/06 at 07:30 PM

Try it again

Coming from Walton its the A244 you turn left just before going over the river bridge, then right, the 'Riviera' is just below the bridge (foot of the mountain)

Yep 'fraid so...your link shows Walton Rail and Oatlands. I have been trying to find the direct link to Walton Bridge, and it will not play the game......

Fozzie

Fozzie - 28/10/06 at 04:56 PM

Yep, more or less, but the Mountain (cafe) is south of the bridge, you can see the road is Y shaped, its there, just as the road goes under the bridge to get to the marina.......
If you change your google map from satellite to hybrid, you will see the names of the roads better.
Hope this makes it clearer

Fozzie

theconrodkid - 29/10/06 at 07:46 AM

yup Rob,managed to get a tap, hope to see ya there

donut - 29/10/06 at 09:42 AM

I'll be there. I'll try and drag Deckman along too as he has not been to a meet in ages.

bob - 29/10/06 at 05:32 PM

Yep i'll be there

Rob turn left when you hit bridge from the south (walton) sign should read cowey sale, then imediate right towards river, park there and grubs on right before you go under the bridge.

Pezza - 29/10/06 at 09:22 PM

Should be along, though now the pugs out of commision it'll be in a Renault Kangoo lol

dnmalc - 30/10/06 at 10:43 PM

Yep will be there. If Steve is around I'll bring the mushrooms

Fozzie - 30/10/06 at 10:59 PM

Tee-hee ......

Rob, your car 'knows its way' there by heart.....

Fozzie

Deckman001 - 31/10/06 at 05:23 PM

martyn_16v - 2/11/06 at 12:10 PM

I shall just be landing in Capetown, so I guess this month won't be my first appearance

I still think the old bacon van was nicer than the current lot...

Got to agree with you there Martyn! But nonetheless still nice, and you can get a 'Full English' and sit down to eat it....

Have a great time in Cape Town, catch up with you some other time!

ATB Fozzie

Phil. S - 4/11/06 at 05:01 PM

If a westy is welcome I'll probably come along to this (although my bonnet's in a bit of a state after leaving the car on the motorway ). The weather looks good for a drive tomorrow.

It is at 10am right?

[Edited on 4/11/06 by Phil. S]

Fozzie - 4/11/06 at 05:32 PM

Course ya can Phil, all are more than welcome

I wont be in mine, hip/back problem stopping me from driving, and shattered Thackery washers too!

Yep 10-ish is usual, although some are there a little earlier......sometimes....

Fozzie

Humbug - 4/11/06 at 08:48 PM

Sorry, I won't be there - too knackered after doing my first track day today + two 2 hour plus drive to get to/from Bedford... plus my cycle wing stay decided to break (again) about five minutes after leaving the house, i.e. 6.20 a.m. I unbolted it and drove the 100 miles each way with a bare left front wheel!

Anyway, enjoy - I hope to be at the next one.

Cheers,

Simon

I was worried, but it seems my fears were unfounded! Nice meeting you all.

If you're going to meet there next month, I'll have to find a more interesting route. The A329/M3 route is quick but not exactly 7 style roads.

Seconded!!!!!

And what a beautiful day it was too!
Plenty going on on the river, shame about the new catering facilities though, that new brekkie van is much smaller....
But at least we can still get a Full English and sit down to eat it.

Great to see you all ......

theconrodkid - 5/11/06 at 05:57 PM

Good to see everyone

James - 6/11/06 at 01:00 PM

Alderhot? Blimey, bring your strongest padlock!
