How do you remove a topic written by yourself?

You can't.
And don't bother asking the administration, as they won't do it for you either.
OK cheers
You can (tho there's a time limit on editing individual posts, not sure if it applies to whole threads)
Click "edit" in the top right, on the next screen under the text box, there's a few boxes, tick the one that says "delete
post" press submit, job done. Unless there's a time limit

You used to be able to do it, but it was stopped after a prolific-poster took a strop some time ago and deleted his many posts.
This wiped a lot of useful information off the forum.
God bless calvinx
I think it's a shame that we can't go back and edit a thread or post.
I'm sure I have said things in the past that later have proved to be wrong, and now with the benefit of hindsight I should go
back and correct before it misleads some other builder.
Another example would be items people make and sell. They may modify the design, or the material costs may change, and
therefore the price would need to increase. Registered Traders especially should be allowed to edit posts.
Just the opinion of a miserable ol' git.
The biggest regret I have is that I used my real name as my username.
There are ways to edit/delete post after a time limit (I did it myself a couple of years ago) but can't remember how right now . I think it was to do with the 6 digit code at the end of the url.
