whats the easiest way to reduce the file size of a pic?
cheers,
Tom

I used Adobe photoshop. My pictures were taken at 2Mpixle, I loaded them up in photoshop and saved a copy in .jpg format. When you do this photoshop prompts you to enter the quality of the copy. I picked low/medium and this reduced the file size considerably. There's probably an easier way though!

Hope this helps

Matt

how do i go about reducing size of photo.s stressed now these computer thing,s don,t like me

Hellfire - 14/1/05 at 04:00 PM

get your digital picture in your photoediting software and reduce the image size from 1600x1200 (2.1Mp) to say 600x400. Screen resolution is predetermined at 72dpi which should be the same as the oputput file resolution. If your software has it - you need to export as web picture. This gives you the option to choose your quality of image and it will optimise. This will reduce filesize and give you the best picture quality you require. Then save as a copy of your original file.

Hope this helps

If anyone is looking for a cheap (i.e. free) advanced graphics editor then I can recommend The GIMP, as found on Linux systems. It's now available for just about every Windows platform

HERE

Takes a bit of learning, but it's very powerful and the price is right...

A very easy to use image resize program is available here as a shareware free trial.

Of course if you have microsoft office then you have photo editor, its not installed as a standard option though. That is a simple photo editor, and will let you adjust jpeg compression when saving as well.

Hi
After following all the advice I still find I can't send my photos. Is it possible to email them in the form of an attachment?

Thanks
