Can anyone using a Sierra diff tell me how wide their transmission tunnel is? mine measures 140mm external.
Cheers,
Chris.
I used 1" x 1" tube because of the IRS. The inside of the tunnel is to book spec. The outside of the tunnel is .5" wider--.25" on
each side.

Mine measures 140mm aswell, I've trial fitted the prop shaft and the UJs just clear the uprights

Cheers guys, it was the u/js that I was worried about. Thanks for the info.
Chris.
Mine's 140mm as well (just like the transmission tunnel) and made of 19mm tube. I trial fitted the old prop and it's sure gonna be tight!
The flange is much too wide so has to go in at an angle.
Cheers,
James
Has anyone made any mods at the gearbox end?
Yeah, mine's wider than standard to get the bellhousing further back. The top of it is the same width (140mm) the whole length as well. This
means harder interior panelling (it'll have to be stretched) but maximises legroom.
Cheers,
James
i've widened my tunnel at the front so i can get the engine further back in the chassis. i've widened it more on the passenger side, gained
a couple of inches on the drivers side, whilst keeping the pedal space the same..
hard to explain, if i can be bothered i'll do a sketch..
Ned.
I'm using an MT75 box and I've made both footwells the same size, ie 107mm from the chassis centre line.
All fits together so far.
