are the little white blocks from B&Q ?!

what have you used for the base board, im umming and ahhing over what to use. Chipboard always seems to bend, and i wouldnt mind this one lasting!

Your doing it wrong mate.

You really should be using the brown blocks from Band Q
This is the same way I'm doing mine.
It also looks like you've got as much room as me

White blocks are for from wilkinson's , about a quid for 20

Base board is 12mm ply..

The last board I bourght I cut up and used as a work bench..And sold all my car bits.. This time I will have my 7 .....

Im paying £1.07 + vat / meter for my rhs box.. is that good or bad ?

I've said it before and will probably say it again

It's much easier in my opinion to make the 'L' assembly as a unit and then weld it to the chassis.
ie. don't tack on the forward cross member in your photo.

Just a thought Mick

yep intend to..

L section is just stuffed in there to make sure its all square.. Its not even cut to lenght ,its just a piece of scrap....

Thanks all pointers welcome tho...

18mm chipboard with cls 4x2 as perimeter and crossmembers is a good base. I used the steel frames from plastic bucket seatsto support base and raise18"
