Micra one is popular, ford escort is the original choice for many people

I asked the same question here about 2 months back.

FWIR. the consensus was a POLO rad or a Mk 5 cortina if you are building something with anything slightly higer.

I have bought a rad from someone on here for a MK5 cortina. It fits in my 1" taller than book chassis. Otherwise go for the POLO.

See previous post but I could not get a Polo rad to fit into an MK nosecone.
A micra one fits fine though.

Our Micra Rad fits into MK snowcone with no problems - brackets are a tad awkward but then isn't that half the fun?

Plus, the Micra Rad has an integral temp sensor... well our's does

The rad of choice for the westfields is the polo rad. I've got one, all alloy, small, just the job. (obviously not fitted yet!!!) You have to be careful as their are two very similar polo rads, 1 fits, 1 doesn't. If you're interested and keep bugging me i'll figure out and post what the part number i've got (plus size)

does anyone know what size the plumbing is on the polo rad? and maybe what size a pinto uses? is it 32mm or 35?

MikeR - 16/12/03 at 08:36 PM

keep hassling me and ill eventually measure mine.
