I'm planning the engine cradle extension for the blower and have a simple question- if I'm building the cradle out of 25*25 box what do I do
to seal the end? I don't fancy cutting out little square pieces to weld onto the end- are there weldable end caps available already that you just
push in a weld round the edges? What's the locost(tm) option???
TIA!
push in plastic ones ?
Same as found on office furniture all over the country ?
Ahem...........
You ain't seen nothin', right ?
I tried them but they kept on melting when I went to weld them
I just got some 1" strip and cut a bit oversize with tin snips - hold in place with magnet and tack then weld - then angry grinder with flap disc to size - as long as you get good penetration (ooer missus) of the weld you get a very neat end closure.
hi ben where's you photo gone?

True Bargain price too.....
Still fancy some metal ones. Looks like I'll just be cutting them out....
I cut squares out and welded them in - held them in place with a magnet, tacked them, then welded up. Easy.
Okay!! I was being lazy
better value

So what's the plan with the plastic ones then? Just epoxy them in or something? Doesn't seem quite as fool-proof as snotting them in place....
I cut the RHS 1" longer than I need, then cut the excess to form a "flap" which I bend over and weld on three sides.

Take a four pack of beer along to a metal fab shop on a Saturday morning and ask one of the guys to plop some out on the guillatine. Less than a minutes work.

i'd cut some squares slightly smaller than 25mm square say the outside box section size minus 1 wall thickness to leave room for some penetration,i'll send some out if you want regards wayno!!

The same for me too. Very good fit!
Or you could always crush the end of the tube and fold it over......
