Rear sierra brake calipers

Hi all a mate of mine has just rang me to ask about his brake pipes etc .
What he wants to know is at the bottom of brake caliper thread its concave and on the brake pipes supplied by mk they are concave too so is there a adapter it go on first

ive got cosworth rear calipers on my car and its a flush fit and the pipe is on a banjo fitting

Sorry but how dose that help my mate ? or do you mean he needs to buy new pipes with banjo ends on?

the flexi screws straight into the caliper doesn't it?

since the flexis have convex ends, both the caliper and the copper pipe should have concave bits to mate to the flexi.

i'm unsure what the problem is.

thats one option
got mine from luego and had a simler prob so i swoped the front brake pipes for the rear ones alowing me to use the banjo fitting on the rear solving the fitment problem

Hi the flex pipe screws in the caliper but at the end of the pipe its concave and so is the inside of the caliper

Cut the end off the copper brake pipe and re flare the pipe.

it's the same on the front though isn't it?

mine sealed fine.

I don't think the seal is achieved by the thread of the flexi going to the bottom of the thread in the caliper. Isn't the seal achieved by the use of a copper washer between the flexi and caliper.

Copper washers won't fit onto the rear calipers.
I know what you mean, I asked the same question recently. I put a double flare onto the end of the brake pipe and just screwed them up and there's no leak. Odd though isn't it.

I have goodridge braided flexi hoses, 10x1 male fitting that go into the sierra rear disc brake caliper and used copper washer that were supplied. All fitted perfect and no leaks.
