If you click on the picturetrail link below, you will see my ebay screen on an MK scuttle - hope this helps.

I would have thought a lot rests on two things:

(i) the size and curvature of your screen.

(ii) your own personal preference.

When blatting or trackdays I find myself tucking down so that my eyes are near level with the top of the screen anyway. I'm not able see the bonnet, just the tip of the nose cone and the front wheel arches.

My concentration is usually geared towards being able to clip the apex of a bend sofor me it's about seeing the wheel arches.

I think my avatar gives an indication of this.

My opinion? - go with what you feel most comfortable / happiest. Most screens are pretty flexible or easily cut to suit.

I've got the same one that slimtater has, was really dissapointed with it to be honest, pictures show the top side to be well finished but then the underside is all scabby and unfinished - fine if it was going to be a body pannel where you only see one side but when your driving all you see is the scabbiness! Sorry, rant over!

slimtater - had a look through your photos - very tidy.

As a matter of interest do you drive with a helmet on? I have a full roll cage and am wondering if the aeroscreen is enough to avoid the 70mph bumble bees and stones etc or is a helmet the only safe option?

thanks, i will get some staniless bolts. as well, i painted the underside my aero screen, think i will help.

thanks

stuart

Depends really - if I am just having a short, gentle "blat" around and the weather is ok, I wear sunglasses (goggle type with pads) and a "beanie" type hat. The screen has made a difference when doing that. Otherwise, I wear a helmet.

Best to fix it is motorbike screen fixings - bolts with rubber type nut that grips the underside. Off the shelf at Halfords.

Didn't bother painting mine - can't really see much of the underside once fitted.

Why thank you! I had a red mk 1 Cupra R225 before that one and it was fantastic. The white one is my "work" car and is the FR diesel.
