They are both running the new Hyabusa engines Tim,although only Dannys car is competing at the moment,Chris Maries is hoping to get back soon, although his brother is now driving a Zetec powered Indy R in the same championship, last year he was racing a Westfield.

I'll be there racing in my mk1 MR2, but due to late entry I will be qualifying with the Nippon Championship and racing in the 'B' race tagged on to the back of the Nippon grid

Keep an eye out for a white MR2 No 98

Should be an interesting comparison with the RGB guys who were there on the bank holiday weekend.

Just had a call to confirm that my new engine has been fitted, so I will be heading out in qualifying with an engine with zero miles on it....looks like I will be running it in during qualifying.

I was hoping they would be dropping my car at the circuit on Sat so I could at least drive it round the paddock and get a couple of miles on it, but they cannot deliver it until 7.30am on Sunday....arrgh

Tim,

It's not going to be much of a comparison to RGB, they can run slicks which means they'll be a lot quicker, and of course the new busa has more power than the RGB limit.

Regards,

Rob.

For what its worth Rob, despite the greater power and grip, I reckon that remains to be seen.

spdpug98 - 19/4/10 at 09:16 AM

I hope you guys had a better days racing than I did.

If any of you where there for the first Nippon qualifying you would of seen me pulling off back into the paddock after half a lap with smoke pouring from the back of the car - the crank pulley had split into 2 and flew out across the circuit with the belt - a few seconds later the temps went through the roof and I called it a day

At least the sun was out

PAUL FISHER - 19/4/10 at 06:13 PM

Not the best of days for Danny, after qualifying well, due to mechanical failure he did not finish the race,oh well thats racing, but it was a great day, some top racing, weather was good, sun burnt my head ,next round at Cadwell on Sunday 16th of May when Chris Maries should be back racing, his 1st time since his big crash last year
