some stupid questions

Hi, is there people who have cbr900rr fireblade engines?

I made my first ride and noticed that in 6 gear at 60miles/h my tacho shows about 6000 rpm, is that normal? I know it depends on diff and its ratio, I think mine is about 3.6.

So its interesting what about your cars? but if 6000 rpm at 60 miles/h so will my top speed reach 100miles/h? Seems a little bit small........

Not a stupid question
You will need a 3.38 diff to sort this problem out...

Ive got one for £199.00 plus 8 quid postage for sale.

Some might say you need a 3.14 but the lower power of the blade wont work well with that ratio.

That is exacyly the same as mine, so top speed is approx 110
How much fasterer do you want to go?
These cars are at their best 30-70 mph

I dont need big top speed, I better prefer good acceleration, just....its my first rides and I noticed that I am riding easily but rpm didnt drop less than 4000....

I have sc28 engine, maybe someone knows real 0-60 times? as I read it seems to be about 4 seconds, but is it true?

It'll take a while top get used to the engine revs, but that sounds normal.

0-60 times will be in the 4-5 sec range but to do 4sec you'd be on a flyer. Getting off the line quick isn't the easiest thing to do. It's the 30-60 where the BEC comes into it's own.

Where abouts are you? Put your (rough) location into your profile.

For accelleration leave it as it is
In normal driving you need at least 3500 at all times under load to not labour then engine
0-60 4.00 to 5.00 seconds depends very much on driver weight (4.8 for me 17st)
Enjoy

I had a 3.65 diff in mine, it could just hit 12,500 in top so was geared correctly, worked well on short tracks.

I now have a 3.14 which does drop the revs down a fair bit and makes first gear useful, it does feel much nicer on those long straights not to be at the limit!

6000rpm = 60mph sounds right to me.
