sorry for all the questions...

how have people mounted their steering column to the chassis, just before the bulkhead. just wondering if there are brackets i can buy or do i need to make some?

and anyone found that the column is very close to one of the rails therefore not allowing much movement of the column downwards (if needed)?

Yep the column is so close that i ditched the adjustable column and made it fixed. Does yours not have the brackets welded to the hoop? I used the standard sierra adjustable bracket on the column and bolted it to this.

Here's a few of mine, you can just about see the bearing inside on the last picture.

that's why your message didn't make sense.... i dont have the grey metal bracket with my column so couldnt work out how to mount it. right, post in the wanted section next...
