Cable stops
tantoelauw - 25/6/11 at 04:26 PM

Hello,

After I had received the correct clutch pedal, I was on my way again. I am wondering though what i can use for a cable stop. I can't find a suitable cable stop anywhere.

I needs to be some kind of plug or a cap maybe with a hole, in which the black cable is stopped but the actual clutch cable can run through.

Is there anyone who knows what i can use best to get the job done.

Greetings,

Its on the end of the clutch cable isnt it ?

Hi,

No it's not at the end of the clutch cable, so i guess that would mean its not really a clutch cable. I think i will have to call my dealer again.

Where can i buy a mk indy clutch cable? Will any clutch cable do? I don't want to wait for the dealer to send me the correct parts again.

Greetings.

Give Hellfire a u2u as he is using the same engine as you in a MK indy

The photo above is of a type 9 gearbox clutch cable

That tube on mine is for the accelerator cable. The clutch just had a hole (in the wrong place) in the bulkhead. How come your brake master cylinder only has one outlet?

The tube is for the clutch cable on my indy but my car has a car engine / box

Talk to Mac1, they can supply top hats with a cable adjuster tapped into it correct size! works well I'm using one for my accelerator and clutch cable.

Because I have 2 brake cilinders one for the brakes on the frontside and the other obviously for the brakes on the backside. Is that unusual? It was like that when i bought it.

Anyway thanks for the info everyone.
