a bit of back story for you then.
i'd just fitted my brand new tyres, the start of my demise, and had set off on damp, not wet roads, to go over to wakefield to pick a lad up from
work, who wanted me to dig the indy out one last time before it went into hibernation.
the next bit will only be relevant to those of you who know the area, but coming out of dewsbury, up wakefield cutting, went into the outside lane, to
go up through earlsheaton. as i got just to the corner, the gravel and grit that'd normally be on the middle of the road had been pushed well
into the outside of my side of the road, because of the roadworks. a combination of slippy new tyres, grit, salt, wet, and me not paying all that much
attention, as i didn't expect the grit and shite to be there, the backend swung wide.
as i corrected it, probably overcorrected it, it swung the other way, but this time i didn't have anywhere to run, and an 05 plate corsa caught
me, about 2/3rds the way down a 3 door, which pushed the sill in, and split the back arch from the wheel well.
boll*cks methinks. the old guy driving the corsa was unscathed, myself likewise. i got a bloke that stopped to help me drag the indy to the side of
the road, and all was well. the copper that turned up was nice as you like, and gave me a lift home.
looks like i'm rebuilding this winter then!

Oh dear. glad you ok though! I know how you feel- i had a whoopsie with mine that also adjusted the front end a while back! Ah well it'll keep
you busy over the winter.....
it's ripped the bottom off the shocker, both bones bent, top one ripped in two, dragged the wheel back round into the car, bent top and bottom
rails, shagged cycle wing and bracket and side panel, ripped one mount off the rack, and split it where it was rejoined by mk, bent the two forward
primaries on the manifold, dinted the headlamp shell, deformed o/s rad bracket, and cracked the battery tray. bent my front brake pipes too.
all the front structure looks shagged too, but the n/s top and bottom tubes look ok.
so is it a write off? will Footman James sell me the salvage back?
