im collecting my indy kit tomorrow morning, but will i be able to unload the chassis from the lorry im nicking from work on my own its
about 2 ft high

They're heavy... but not *that* heavy!

Bare chassis was humped around my garage a lot when building the car... and my chassis is getting on for Viento size.

HTH,
James

Cant say I've ever had the pleasure trying that manover on my tod before but very easy if you can sponge another set of arms and legs from somewhere!! I dont envy your paintwork though!!

Good Luck with the build and enjoy tomorrow

In short No. You really need 2 people as a minimum. You have obviously spent a few thousand on your kit and dont want to damage it before you have started.

When I arrived home with my kit its amazing how many neighbours came out for a nosey (and got roped in)

2 people required - other person can even be a girl!

have a good day alan see you around

Take a sack truck with you. I moved my bare chassis on my own with ease, with it tied to the truck

Benzine - 9/10/07 at 04:33 PM

I found it a doddle to carry on my own

I look like and am built like a viking though ^__^ Just charge up the berserkergang and away we go

The chssis isn't heavy at all, it's just the size and shape that makesit awkward to manage alone.

It can be done, but you're always best to get another set of hands to save your back/powdercoat/everything between the lorry and the garage

Yes i lifted mine on my own out of a transit van

roadrunner - 9/10/07 at 07:41 PM

Is that why you suffer from a bad back Graham.
