I am setting up the suspension and wanted to know what threads are visable on the track rods, top ball joints and also for the rear camber
adjusters.
I will measure the geometry at a later date but just wanted to get it somewhere near for now.
Using MK Indy chassis and wishbones, sierra hubs and rack.
thank you in advance
JK
using the length of thread is not in my mind the best way of doing this.
Best to get all the wheels sitting vertical to the ground (use a spirt level) and once that's done, also pointing dead ahead when the steering
wheel is centered (measuring tape or length of string on the inner wheel rim). Then adjust from there once driven.

I didn't want to spend the time getting onto the floor as yet as I have other parts to fit, just wanted a rough guide as to where others has set theirs up for now.
don't know about the indy - but how many threads are showing on your avatars g-string?
If you're still building then just set it up by eye for now. Adding further weight to the car will change any settings you make now anyway. Once the car's built then use the spirit level and string techniques described above to get the car driveable and then get it properly set up on a 4 weehl alignment rig.
I volunteer to count
Why not set it up properly first time?

Cheers chaps
When setting up start by -- ride height then get the camber by eye -- then roughly set the toe, go back to camber more accurately, then set toe-in more accurately.
hi j kay the frount top ball joint is 112mm from wishbone to outside of ball joint
Excellent
Don't suppose you have the same for the track rods and rear camber adjusters.
Many thanks
got the frount size off phil at mk but no set size for rear but rear is easy 2 adjust
