I have just purchased a second hand MK Chassis and various bits and pieces. Apparently it is 18 mths to 2 yrs old and has a fixed Cortina axle, the
body parts are from Luego and seem to fit OK, part of the deal is a readied Lotus tweaked crossflow engine. Having asked around it would appear that
I can't change axle to IRS using my originally sourced 2 litre Pinto plus running gear from Sierra....is this correct?.
(I wanted to go down the Luego Velocity route but funds are more limited and this second hand package came my way by sheer fluke!!!!!)
This is my first attempt at a new build, I pick up my chassis on Saturday and would welcome anyone in the Dereham, Norfolk vicinity to cast their
expert eye over my pile and a finger to point me in the right direction.
HELP!!!!!!

It's a locost chassis not an indy, just build what you've got and enjoy it. The car sounds like it's half there already.

Technically you could change to IRS if you hack out a few rails at the back of the car and change a few things and add a few rails in but would you
really gain that much?
You'll also probably have to worry about longer wishbones for the front- to keep the track similar (or cut down your rear wishbones to match).
Just buy a live axle- MKII Escort (preferably) or Capri or Cortina and use that.
You should still be able to use the 5speed Type9 gearbox from the Sierra- you will probably need some Cortina uprights tho.
